Online event by the Black Women in Science Network (BWIS) to share the stories, struggles and successes of Black Women in Science.

Within society, Black women may face various experiences that impact their aspirations and progression in Science. Passionate about changing this narrative and creating a community where Black women in science feel seen and supported, BWiS is holding their first annual event to have honest conversations to help Black women navigate their scientific ventures. Hosted by BWiS founder Tomi Akingbade, this event presents a platform for the stories, struggles and successes of Black Women at different stages in their scientific careers to be shared. Through interviews and Q&A segments, attendees will have the opportunity to learn how to start and progress in their scientific education and career and how to combat challenges that may be faced. This enriching event will leave you feeling encouraged and equipped to pursue your chosen career path.
